Order to keep private hospitals ready till January 10

It has been said that all the private clinics, hospitals, and medical college hospitals of the country must be ready all the time from January 6 to January 10 to deal with any kind of emergency during the 12th national parliament elections held on January 7 and before and after.

In case of referring any patient to a government hospital, the patient must be given first aid and sent by ambulance after contacting the concerned hospital. Even the referral form filled out by the doctor in charge should be attached to the prescription.

Earlier, these decisions were taken in a virtual meeting chaired by Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek on Friday evening.

Dr. Abu Hossain Md. Moinul Ahsan said this letter was not given for fear of sabotage or for any special purpose. We direct the private hospitals to be ready at any critical time in the country. For example, it is also done during religious festivals like Eid. It can be said that it is part of routine work. Private hospitals and medical colleges have assured cooperation in this regard.
