Women start the World Cup with a win

Before leaving Dhaka, captain Nigar Sultana Jyoti said, "I want to start the World Cup with a win." She kept her word. Bangladesh made a good start by defeating Scotland in Women's T20 World Cup cricket. Niggers won by 16 runs in the match held in Sharjah yesterday. This victory also ended the long wait. Bangladesh won the T20 World Cup after 10 years. They last beat Ireland at home in 2014. In between, they lost all four World Cups. Nigar Sultana Jyoti has made the feat of playing 100th T20 match as the first woman cricketer of Bangladesh. After winning the toss and batting, Bangladesh scored 119 for 7 wickets in 20 overs. No one could benefit with the bat. Sobhana scored a maximum of 36 from 38 balls, while Saathi scored 29 from 32 balls. Nigger scored 18 runs off 18 balls. A target of 120 runs is not a big deal. Many were worried whether Bangladesh would win the match or not. Scotland could not. They collected 103 runs in the stipulated over and lost 7 wickets. Sarah Blight scored an unbeaten 49. Ritumani got 2 for 12 runs and Marufa 17, Nahida 19, Rabeta got 1 wicket each for 19 runs.
