7-member commission formed to investigate BDR killings

A 7-member investigation commission has been formed with former BGB Director General ALM Fazlur Rahman as the chairman in the BDR killings.

Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd) made this known to journalists after a medal presentation ceremony organized by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Peelkhana in the capital on Monday morning.

The advisor said that the commission has been formed with former BGB Director General ALM Fazlur Rahman as the chairman. The other members of the investigation commission are two military officers, one civil service officer and one police officer, and one teacher each from Dhaka University and Jagannath University.

Meanwhile, the public relations officer of the Home Ministry said in a press release that the chief advisor approved the formation of the investigation commission on Sunday night in the BDR mutiny incident that took place in Peelkhana on February 25, 2009.
