Photo: Collected. A new cold wave may occur in some parts of the country from today Saturday. As a result, the severity of winter may increase from today across the country. The Meteorological Department has made such a forecast.
According to the weather department's bulletin (message) on Friday evening, the temperature may drop slightly across the country tonight. Besides, there may be moderate to dense fog in the river basins of the country from midnight tonight till tomorrow Sunday morning. Other regions may experience light to moderate fog.
Several areas of the country received rain on Friday. Out of this, Noakhali's Hatia and Bagerhat's Mongla have received 5 mm of rain. Rain fell in the Patuakhali, Chittagong Sandwip, and Satkhira areas. However, no area received more than 4 mm of rain in 24 hours. Apart from this, some areas of Bhola, Jessore, Khulna, Comilla, Rangamati, Chittagong, Madaripur, and Gopalganj received 1 mm of rain. There has been slight rain in Faridpur and Barisal.
Meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq told the media, there is no possibility of rain. The clouds have passed. Temperatures will drop as the clouds clear and may continue to do so. As a result, the feeling of winter will increase throughout the country.
The weather in many parts of the country is close to mild winter. When the minimum temperature of a region falls between 10–8°C for two to three days, a mild cold current flows over it.
