The promotion was given in two separate notifications issued by the Home Ministry's Public Security Division Police-1 Branch on Sunday. 63 of them were promoted as supernumeraries.
Deputy Secretary Mahabur Rahman Sheikh signed the two proclamations by order of the President.
According to the notification, the promoted officers will join the Secretary of the Public Safety Department through proper authority and will continue to serve in their respective posts until further posting.
