10 banks on the verge of bankruptcy: Governor

Bangladesh Bank Governor Ahsan H Mansoor said, We do not expect any bank to go bankrupt, but at least 10 banks have gone into a bad state of bankruptcy. The government is trying to save them.

The governor gave this information in a press conference at Bangladesh Bank on Sunday.

He said that no organization's account has been seized from Bangladesh Bank. Be it S Alam or Salman F Rahman. No organization's bank account has been seized. Bangladesh Bank increased the amount of deposit protection insurance from 1 lakh to Tk 2 lakh.
