On Thursday (September 26) morning, it was informed from the concerned court that the judge took cognizance of the case and ordered the officer-in-charge of Madhupur police station to take it as an FIR.
Earlier on Wednesday, this case was filed in Tangail Senior Judicial Magistrate Madhupur Thana Amli Court. Judge Pashupati Biswas took cognizance of the case and reserved it for order.
Zahid Hasan, son of Chanoar Hossain of Malauri village of Madhupur upazila filed this case as the plaintiff. The accused have been accused of attacking the procession during the anti-discrimination student movement.
It is alleged in the case that on the afternoon of August 4, a peaceful procession was taken out in front of Madhupur Hospital under the leadership of the local coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement. The Hon'ble Judge took cognizance of the case and recorded the statement of the plaintiff. Later he directed the officer-in-charge of Madhupur police station to take the case as an FIR.
