Awami League will participate in the next elections: Hanif

Awami League will turn around from the current situation and participate in the next national elections, said the joint general secretary of the party, Mahbubul Alam Hanif. He said that there was no election in Bangladesh in the past without Awami League, and there is no possibility of it in the future. There will be no election in Bangladesh except Awami League.

On behalf of Mahbubul Alam Hanif, his press secretary Tariq ul Islam Tutul gave this information in a statement sent to the media on Thursday (September 26).

Hanif gave this statement in response to the recent statement given by Badiul Alam Majumder, head of Electoral Reform Commission, that 'the next national election will be acceptable without Awami League'.

Hanif also said, I strongly condemn and protest the efforts made by the interim government to keep traditional old and large political parties like Awami League away from elections and politics and call for them to stay away from such activities.

One of the joint secretaries of Awami League said that Badiul Alam Majumder is talking about democracy as the head of Election Commission reform. Again, traditional large, powerful political parties like Awami League; He talked about the election by leaving the party out of the election, the party that has gained independence under the leadership of the party that has achieved the country's development, progress and dignity.

That is unacceptable and unreasonable.

Hanif mentioned that Awami League has represented the people by participating in every election since Ayub Khan's regime. Awami League is the party of soil and people of this country. The roots of Awami League are very deep in the soil of Bengal.

Awami League leaders and activists are in a somewhat embarrassing situation in the current context. But it should also be kept in mind that such a shock came in 1975 when there was a conspiracy to wipe out the Awami League by killing the father of the nation and his family. That Awami League turned around. Therefore, in this incident, there is no reason to think that this Awami League will not be able to turn around. Awami League will turn around again like in the past and participate in the next parliamentary elections.

There will be no election in Bangladesh except Awami League.
