Bangladesh girls won the series with two matches in hand

Bangladesh women's team maintained a great form against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh girls have won the five-match T20 series with two matches in hand. After winning the first two matches of the series by 7 wickets and 104 runs respectively, Rabeya Khan-led Tigresses confirmed the series by winning the third match by 10 runs.

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first in the third match held at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground on Sunday. However, in front of Sri Lanka's bowling attack, losing wickets at regular intervals, the visiting team's innings finally stopped at 97 runs for 9 wickets. Dilara Akhtar top scored for the team with 26 runs, which came off 21 balls.

The Sri Lanka Women's 'A' team, which entered the field to save the series, could not be successful in batting. At the end of 20 overs, their innings stopped with 87 runs for 8 wickets. As a result, Bangladesh won both the match and the series by a margin of 10 runs. The fourth match of the series will be held on September 17 at Thruston Ground and the final match will be held at Colts on September 19.
