In the previous week i.e. in the first 7 days of September, remittances came in at 584.5 million 40 thousand (584 million) dollars.

According to the review of the data of the Central Bank, the amount of remittances received in the country till September 14 was 297.3 million dollars through state-owned banks, 50 million dollars through a specialized bank, 81.69 million 70 thousand dollars through private banks and foreign Remittances of 3 million dollars have come through the banks.
In the month of August, expatriate income or remittances came to the country of 222 million US dollars (2.22 billion). In domestic currency, the amount is 26 thousand 656 crores.
In the first month of the fiscal year 2024-25, July, remittances of US$ 191,358,000 came to the country. Which is lowest in previous 10 months. Earlier in September 2023, remittances came in at $1.33 billion.
In the recently concluded fiscal year 2023-24, foreign exchange remittances equivalent to two thousand 392 million US dollars came to the country. The amount of domestic currency is two lakh 82 thousand crores. The remittance figure is the second highest collection ever. The highest record remittance in the country's history came in the fiscal year 2020-21 at $2,477 million.
