Zero tolerance against extortionists defaming the name of BNP

Barrister Kaiser Kamal, legal affairs secretary of BNP, said that we can use the sacrifice of the students who sacrificed themselves in the anti-discrimination uprising. That is, the people of the country should get voting rights, democratic rights and basic rights back. And let fascism not be established in this country. Besides, the acting chairman of our party, Tariq Rahman, has clearly announced that there will be zero tolerance against anyone who commits acts of terrorism, extortion or injustice in the society by defaming the name of the party. It is started from Durgapur itself.

He said these things as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by Durgapur Upazila and Municipal BNP at the upazila hall on Sunday afternoon.

In response to the question of the journalists about the decision regarding the families of the martyrs, he said that everything cannot be said. Even so, I would like to inform you that the BNP has taken the overall responsibility of the Shaheed family of Durgapur on the instructions of our party's Acting Chairman. He also said, we want a Bangladesh where there will be good rule of law and every person can establish his own rights.

They demanded justice for the family members of the martyred Masum Billah, Shaheed Omar Farooq, Shaheed Zakir Hossain, Shaheed Saiful in the anti-discrimination student uprising in Durgapur, and in memory of all the martyrs in the anti-fascist student movement.

Upazila BNP Ahab Zahirul Alam Bhuiyan, former president Imam Hossain Abu Chan, member of Upazila anti-discrimination student movement Ratul Khan Rudra, Russell Ahmed and others spoke in the discussion meeting. The meeting was attended by thousands of leaders and activists from different unions of the upazila including the Upazila BNP, Municipal BNP, Sramik Dal, Krishak Dal, Chhatra Dal.
