14 people died in dengue, 2993 patients were hospitalized

According to the Department of Health, 2 thousand 993 people have been admitted to various public and private hospitals of the country due to dengue infection in the last 24 hours. Among them, 994 are residents of Dhaka and 1,999 are outside Dhaka. Among the 14 people who died during the same period, eight were from Dhaka and six from outside Dhaka.

One lakh 48 thousand 328 people were admitted to hospital due to dengue this year. Among them, 67 thousand 59 people have been admitted to various hospitals in the capital and 81 thousand 269 people have been admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka. At the same time, 1 lakh 37 thousand 727 people were discharged from the hospital. Among them, 62 thousand 241 people live in Dhaka and 75 thousand 486 people outside Dhaka.

Note that 179 people died in dengue in 2019. 7 people died of dengue in 2020, 105 people died of dengue in 2021 and 281 people died of dengue in 2022.
