The victim of rape, the fourth class student is pregnant, the accused is absconding

Photo: Collected. A person named Nizam Uddin (63) has been accused of raping a fourth-grade student in Rangpur city. The victim's family filed a case in the police station. The girl, the daughter of a fatherless and unbalanced mother, was studying in Fupurbari.

On March 22 this year, Neighbor Nizam Uddin's son Nadeem Bush (30) asked his father to bring the drink to the student. As soon as she reached the house, she was raped by the Nizam and threatened not to tell anyone. In this way, Nizam Uddin threatened the girl and raped her several times. This September, when the student developed various physical problems, the family members took her to the doctor and found out that she was 20 weeks pregnant.

When asked, the student opened up about the rape and her uncle filed a rape case against Nizam Uddin at the Metropolitan Police Station on September 4.

Mahfuzar Rahman, OC of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Station, said that the police have conducted several raids to arrest the rapist. Besides, necessary legal measures are being taken.
