He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of National Voter's Day on Saturday.
CEC said, 'The importance of NID has increased a lot. It is essential now. There are many times when there is a crisis regarding the division of property. It's not gone yet. But the NID has reached a much better state than before. I can't do many things without it now.'
He said, 'Not too many, those who are very clever make more than one card. So our officials will work with caution. I may have mistaken the NID card that is done to sell the property. But if we do it knowingly as part of the crime, then our tolerance will be zero. We will not hesitate to hand over such officers to the police.”
Kazi Habibul Awal said, 'Now the voter card has become a product of NID. NID issue is not today, today is voter's day. How it got to the present stage is a matter of history.'
Election Commissioner among others in the meeting. Ahsan Habib Khan, Md. Alamgir, Radesha Sultana, EC Secretary. Jahangir Alam along with all level officials of the organization were present.
