Bangladesh lead the series with a huge win against the Lankans

Bangladesh Women 'A' team won by 104 runs in the second T20 of the five match series against Sri Lanka. In this, the girls of Bangladesh took a 2-0 lead in the series.

Batting first at P Sara Oval in Colombo on Friday, the Tigresses got a huge collection of 164 runs for 6 wickets. In response, the host girls were bowled out for just 60 runs.

Earlier, after losing the toss and going down to bat, Tigress opener Dilara Akhtar returned to Sajghar with a personal score of 9 runs and broke the opening pair of 22 runs. However, Sathi Rani and Subhana Mustari built a strong foundation in the partnership of 80 runs from 68 balls for the second wicket.

However, both have returned as retired Harts. Sathi played an innings of 50 runs from 40 balls and 39 runs from 39 balls came from the bat of Subhana Mustari. Nigar Sultana Jyoti played an innings of 34 runs off 24 balls.

Malki Madara took the maximum two wickets for the Lankans.

Chasing a big target of 165 runs, the host Sri Lanka's innings fell flat. Only two openers Kaushini (11) and Nethmi Poorna (18) have managed to touch the double-digit quota. The Lankans' innings ended in 16.4 overs due to the failure of the rest of the batters.

For Bangladesh, captain Rabeya Khan bowled 2.4 overs and took four wickets at the cost of just 4 runs. Apart from this, Sultana and Fahima Khatun took two wickets each.

The third T20 match will be played at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground on September 15. The fourth match is at Thruston on 17 September and the last T20 match of the series is at Colts on 19 September.
