Home Affairs Adviser directs authorities to take measures to stop border killings

Lt. Gen. (retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, "There has been a little discussion here about border killing (killing at the border). Therefore, I will only say that I have ordered the concerned authority to take measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. I hope that such incidents will not happen in the future.

The Home Affairs Adviser said this in response to questions from journalists after the meeting on law and order of Durga Puja at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

The adviser also said, 'Another problem arises during the puja, as our people go back and forth, the people from the other side go to see the puja, and the people from the other side come to see the puja. I have requested everyone here, this time you have a good pujamandap in the border belt. So that our people do not go beyond to see the puja. People from the other side should not come to the other side, to take measures for this.'

The Home Affairs Advisor said, "I request you (journalists) to help me so that such incidents do not happen in the future."
