On February 2 (Friday) after the Fajr prayer, the annual convention of the World Tablighi Jamaat will officially begin with the Ambayan, the World Ijtema. The 57th World Ijtema, the second largest religious conference in the entire Muslim world.
The first phase of Biswa Ijtema will begin on February 2, 2024 and end on February 4 (Sunday) with the final prayer. Then the second phase will start on February 9 with a break of 4 days. The Biswa Ijtema of both phases will conclude with Akhiri Monajat on February 11 (Sunday).
The arriving pilgrims will stay at Jelawari Khitta. Like every year, this time too he will speak in Urdu language. And for the convenience of Muslims from different countries, the narration will be translated into Bengali and Arabic.
Bayanmanch is being built in the northwest of Maidan, spread over 160 acres of land on the banks of Kahardarya river. And on the western end, the foreign guest accommodation is adjacent to the Kamardpara Bijra. There will be (replace) floating bridges by the army for the pilgrims to cross the river. The ground is being prepared for Jelawari devotees. Ignoring severe cold, hundreds of pilgrims from different areas have been volunteering since morning. The arriving pilgrims are doing various works like making samiana in the Maidan, Chat Badhai, Khuti Gatha, cutting the soil, cleaning the dirt of the Maidan, cleaning the drains, building rooms for foreigners. The worshipers are willing to come to the Maidan to please Allah after the day's hard work. This is how all the preparations for the 57th World Ijtema are progressing.
Like last time, in the first episode, the followers of Yobai are organizing Ijtema in Tongi Maidan. After that, the followers of Maulana Sa'd will organize Ijtema in the second phase after a break of four days. Mufti Zaheer Ibn Muslim, a media coordinator following Maulana Zobair, confirmed this.
A Muslim Mufti Kamal Uddin Jahanpuri said, "There is no greater example than voluntarily giving labor, money and time for the work of Allah." To work hard in the cause of God, to please God. If you work diligently, Allah Ta'ala will give you its honor. In the Qur'an, it is said to be a helper in the cause of Allah by giving life, wealth, money, and time, then in the Hereafter it will be equal to Jihad.
In this regard, local MP Zahid Ahsan Russell said that the World Ijtema is going to be held under the supervision of the current government. Honorable Prime Minister Jannetri Sheikh Hasina has allocated crores of rupees to serve the pilgrims and constructed multi-storied buildings around the Maidan to provide toilets and showers.
Former Mayor Jahangir Alam, Chief Advisor of Gazipur City Corporation, said that the City Corporation will provide all kinds of support to the pilgrims who have come to make this World Ijtema a success.
