Joint forces operation in Gazipur and Savar tonight

The Home Affairs Adviser has directed the army, police and industrial police to start a joint operation on Monday night in Savar, Ashulia and Gazipur areas to provide security to the garment industries.

BGMEA president Khandkar Rafiqul Islam told reporters after the meeting at the secretariat that this decision was taken in a meeting with Home Advisor Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd) and the leaders of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association-BGMEA and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association-BKMEA.

The Home Advisor said, the police, industrial police and the army have been asked to take swift action with instructions to bring the outsiders involved in the chaos to justice by tonight.

Apart from this, the home adviser requested the owners to keep all the factories open from tomorrow Tuesday to keep the wheels of the economy running.
